Valital wins Canadian RegTech Award for its AI-powered due diligence solution
Montréal-based Valital Technologies awarded Best RegTech Solution for Managing Operational Risk and Resiliency
MONTRÉAL, Nov. 16, 2021 - Valital, an AI-powered adverse media monitoring platform, has been named the overall winner in the Canadian RegTech Awards’ category for Best RegTech Solution for Managing Operational Risk and Resiliency.
The Canadian RegTech Association is a non-profit organization focused on solving regulatory challenges through collaborative efforts between key RegTech stakeholders: regulated entities, technology vendors, regulatory bodies, government and professional service providers.
Valital Technologies is a Montréal-based company, helping organizations manage reputation risks through its responsible AI-powered platform. Valital’s AI scours open-source online intelligence (OSINT), collecting and analyzing adverse online news on potential and current business stakeholders — in real time. The platform is being used at some of Canada’s largest organizations within the financial and professional services sectors.

Valital automates the online search process and goes farther by analyzing content and context around universally recognized misbehaviours: financial crimes and fraud, harassment, violence, discrimination and addiction. According to Mr. Aoun, “Behaviour that used to be tolerated in the past is no longer acceptable today. It’s within this environment that Valital Technologies was created. We help automate the process by collecting and analyzing the information and then leaving it up to organizations to decide what to do with the information we uncover.”
Valital is used primarily by risk, ethics, compliance and security professionals as part of their client acceptance, third-party verification and insider threat programs.
